In addition, for other information such as personal profiles and/or unique identifier numbers which are associated or combined with Personal Information, that information is also considered Personal Information. Information we collect from you or your mobile device directly

  • When you register and create an account with us using the Application, we collect certain information about you, including your name, physical address, e-mail address, and telephone number. If you use the Application as a Merchant, we collect additional information from you as part of the Merchant registration process. We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies that may be set on your computer or device when you visit our website or use our services. This information includes IP address and browser language preference.
  • When you use the Application, you must provide us with relevant information that may be required by us for the Application to function, for example:

    1. If you use the Application as a user, you must provide correct information to us.

    2. f you use the Application as a Merchant, for the Application to function, you must provide us with information related to your place of business and guarantee the services provided to users. You may need to provide us with other data that we need to manage the Application and its associated ecosystem, and to monitor overall usage of the Application.

Information collected whenever you use the Application or visit our website

  • When you use our Application or visit our website, we collect certain technical data related to your use. This includes information such as internet protocol addresses and previously or subsequently viewed web page information. We may also collect the duration of each visit/session and internet device identity or media access control address. In addition, we may collect mobile advertising ID and other device information including information about the manufacturer, model and operating system of the device you use to access our Application or website.
  • We use cookies to track user activity with the aim of improving the user interface and experience. Most mobile devices and internet browsers support the use of cookies; but you can adjust the settings on your mobile device or internet browser to refuse certain types of cookies or certain specific cookies.     Whenever you use the Application via a mobile device, we will track and collect your geographic location information in real time. You can temporarily disable geo-location tracking information on your mobile device. However, this may affect the functions available on the Application.

2. Use of Personal Information we collect

We may use Personal Information collected for the following purposes or for other purposes permitted by applicable laws and regulations (“Purposes“):

  1. If you are a user, we may use your Personal Information:
    • To identify and register you as a user and to administer, verify, deactivate or manage your account;
    • to facilitate or enable any verification that in our opinion is necessary before the Merchant provides services to you or before we register you as a user, including carrying out Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and determining credit (credit scoring);
    • to enable the Merchant to provide the services you request;
    • We may process and facilitate orders and payment transactions you make on the Application, including as applicable, transactions made through payment cards or accounts available on the Application.
    • to notify you of transactions or activities that occur in the Application or other systems connected to our Application;
    • to communicate with you and send you information in connection with the use of the Application;
    • to notify you of any updates to the Application or changes to the services provided;
    • We process and respond to inquiries and suggestions received from you so that we can provide you with the best possible service.
    • to maintain, develop, test, improve and personalize the Application to meet your needs and preferences as a user;
    • to monitor and analyze user activity, behavior and demographic data including habits and use of various services available on the Application;
    • to process and manage your reward points;
    • to offer or provide services from our affiliates or partners; And
    • to send you direct or focused marketing communications, advertisements, vouchers, surveys and information, and information about special offers or promotions.
  2. If you are a Merchant, we may use your Personal Information:
    • to identify you and register you as a Merchant and to administer, manage or verify your Account;
    • to facilitate or enable any verification that in our opinion may be necessary before we can register you as a Merchant, including for KYC (Know Your Customer) and credit scoring;
    • to enable you to provide services to users;
    • to process, facilitate and settle payments to you in connection with the services you have provided;
    • to communicate with you and send you information related to the provision of your services, including to convey user orders to you and to facilitate your acceptance of those orders;

  3. Whether you are a user or a Merchant or a party that provides Personal Information to us, we may also use your Personal Information more generally for the following purposes (although in certain cases we will act fairly and not use your Personal Information more than what required for the purpose):
    • to perform related business processes and functions;
    • to monitor Application usage and manage, support and improve performance efficiency, development, user experience and Application functions;
    • to provide assistance in connection with and to resolve technical difficulties or operational problems with the Application or services;
    • to generate statistical information and analytical data for the purposes of testing, research, analysis, product development, commercial partnerships, and cooperation;
    • to prevent, detect and investigate any prohibited, illegal, unauthorized or fraudulent activities;
    • to facilitate business asset transactions (which may take the form of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets) involving us and/or our affiliates; And
    • to enable us to comply with all obligations under applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to responding to regulatory requests, investigations or directives, complying with filing, reporting and licensing requirements required by applicable regulations) and conducting audit checks, due diligence and investigation.

3. Providing the Personal Information we collect

  • if you are a user, to enable the Merchant, to perform or provide services;
  • if you are a Merchant, to allow users to request or receive services from you;
  • if required or authorized by applicable laws and regulations (including but not limited to responding to regulatory inquiries, investigations or guidelines, or complying with statutory filing and reporting requirements or provisions), for the purposes specified in statutory laws and regulations applicable;
  • if instructed, requested, required or allowed by the competent government, for the purposes stated in government policies, regulations or laws and regulations that apply.
  • if there is a legal process of any kind between you and us, or between you and another party, in connection with, or related to the service, for the purposes of the legal process;
  • in connection with all verification processes we or third parties need before service providers provide services to you or we register you as a user, including the KYC (Know Your Customer) process and credit scoring;
  • in an emergency related to your safety (whether you are a user or a Merchant) for the purpose of handling the emergency;
  • in situations related to your health or public interest (whether you are a user or a Merchant), we may share your Personal Information with government authorities and/or other institutions that may be appointed by government authorities or have cooperation with us, for contact tracing purposes , support government initiatives, policies or programs, public health and other purposes as reasonably required;
  • in connection with, merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing or acquisition of all or part of our business by or to another company, for the purpose of the transaction (even if the transaction is subsequently discontinued);
  • in connection with the insurance claim process, we will share your Personal Information for the purpose of processing insurance claims with insurance companies that work with or collaborate with us;
  • We may share your Personal Information with third parties (including agents, vendors, suppliers, contractors, partners, and other parties who provide services to us or you) for or in connection with purposes where these third parties are involved. This sharing may include allowing these third parties to introduce or offer products or services to you, authenticate you or connect you with an Account, carry out other activities including marketing, research, analysis and product development.
  • In the event that we share Personal Information with any of our affiliates, we will do so for the purposes of assisting us in providing the Application and running our business, including when you subscribe to our mailing list. For example, a Yuk Melali affiliate in another country may process and/or store your Personal Information on behalf of Yuk Melali in your country. All of our affiliates are committed to processing the Personal Information they receive from us in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws and regulations.
  1. When it is not necessary for Personal Information to be associated with you, we will make reasonable efforts to remove the association of such Personal Information with you as an individual before disclosing or sharing such information.

4. Storage of Personal Information

We will stop storing your Personal Information or remove the purpose of linking Personal Information to you as an individual once it is deemed that the purposes for which Personal Information was collected are no longer needed by storing Personal Information, and storage is no longer required for business or legal purposes.

When you use our Applications and services in other countries where our Applications can be accessed (“Destination Countries”), we may transfer your Personal Information from the country of origin (“Country of Origin”) to the Destination Country to enable you to access and ensure a better customer experience.

The Country of Origin will not be considered as your home country, but only as a country where we have collected your Personal Information. We will ask for your consent to transfer your Personal Data from the Country of Origin to the Country of Destination to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

7. Security of your Personal Information

We at Yuk Melali are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We will apply our best efforts to protect and secure your data and Personal Information from access, collection, use or disclosure by unauthorized persons and from processing that violates the law.

However, sending information via the internet is not completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account details including your password and One Time Password (OTP) with anyone and must always maintain and be responsible for the security of the device you use.

We may review and amend this Privacy Policy at our sole discretion from time to time, to ensure that this Privacy Policy is consistent with our future developments, and/or changing legal or regulatory requirements. If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will notify you of the change through a public notification published on the Application and/or website, or vice versa to your e-mail address listed in your Account. You agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy regularly for the latest information about our data processing and data protection practices, and that you continue to use our Application or website, communicate with us, or access and use services after any changes.

9. Acknowledgment and approval

By agreeing to the Privacy Policy, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy and agree to all of its terms. 10. Marketing and promotional materials

We may send you marketing and promotional materials via push-notification applications, messages via Applications, Chat Platforms, Social Media and email (“Marketing Materials”) if you have agreed to subscribe to our mailing list, and/ or agree to receive marketing and promotional materials from us.

You can opt-out of receiving such marketing communications at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” option found in the relevant message. Please note that if you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as receipts or information about your Account.

11. Anonymous data

We may create, use, license or disclose Personal Information. We will ensure that any such Personal Information is anonymized and aggregated before we do so.

We will not create, use, license or disclose your Personal Information unless (i) all identifying things have been removed so that the data, either alone or in combination with other available data, cannot be associated with or associated with or cannot identify an individual; and (ii) similar data has been aggregated so that the original data forms part of a larger data set

Apps, websites and Marketing Materials may contain links to websites operated by third parties. We do not control or accept any responsibility or liability for this website and for the collection, use, maintenance, sharing or disclosure of data and information by such third parties.   1. Please note that when you use our application, we do not store the biometric data you provide. The data is stored on your mobile device and may be stored by third parties, such as your device maker. You agree and acknowledge that we are not responsible for any unauthorized access or any loss of biometric data stored on your mobile device.
  2. The advertisements contained on our Applications, websites and Marketing Materials serve as links to advertisers’ websites. Any information you provide to these advertisers will be collected and used by them in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

When you decide to delete your account at Yuk Melali, your account will be permanently deleted on applications, websites and third party services connected to Yuk Melali.

To permanently delete your account at Yuk Melali, you can contact us via email to and your account will be deleted within 24 hours and you will receive an email confirming successful account deletion.

When your account has been successfully deleted. You can’t log in via yuk and all the benefits you previously had will be erased too.
